Copyright and Licensing Policy

  1. Copyright Ownership

Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors will be required to sign a License to Publish agreement.

  • Author Retention: Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the Journal the right of first publication.
  • Grant of Rights: By publishing in the African Journal of Economics and Business Research (AJEBR), authors grant the Journal a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, reproduce, display, and distribute the work in all formats (print and digital).

All articles published in African Journal of Economics and Business Research (AJEBR) are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0)

The Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license allows readers to share published articles freely, but they are not permitted to alter the content or use it for commercial purposes. Authors retain the copyright, and the journal ensures that proper credit is given to the original work.

Core Rights for Readers

  • Share: Copy and share the exact material in any format.
  • No permission needed: Readers do not need to ask the author or journal for basic sharing.

Main Rules and Limits

  • Attribution: Users must give credit to the author and the journal. They must link to the license and show if they made changes.

  1. Author Warranties

By submitting a manuscript to the journal, the authors warrant that:

  • All co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript and agreed to its submission for publication.

Authors are encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their personal website) at any stage of the process:

  • Pre-print: Version before peer review.
  • Post-print: Version accepted for publication.
  • Publisher’s Version: The final PDF version as published by the journal.
