About the Journal

African Journal of Economics and Business Research

The African Journal of Economics and Business Research(AJEBR) of Hawassa Univerity publishes scholarly peer-reviewed works on finance, business, economics, and development-related issues, policies, theories, and problems relevant to the continent of Africa with a particular focus on Ethiopia and sub-Saharan Africa.

We consider potential publications from the following disciplines:  Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, Hotel and Tourism, Marketing management, Logistics and supply chain management,  Human resource management, Cooperatives and Community development, as well as blended approaches for the development or synthesis of knowledge.

The Journal facilitates the regular publication of open-access academic articles, operating on a biannual release schedule (January and June) . It disseminates original research, critical and mini-reviews, short communications, commentaries, and case reports, all thematically curated and presented in English. Published under the  Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), the Journal imposes no article submission or processing charges, thereby ensuring accessibility for researchers across varying socio-economic backgrounds. This model particularly benefits resource-constrained scholars, contributing to a broader societal impact through academic scholarship. Furthermore, the Journal is indexed in esteemed databases such as AJOL, Google Scholar and EBESCO and it holds a national accreditation with a Grade B ranking, affirming its credibility and quality in academic publishing.

Welcome to Volume 5 Number 1 of African Journal of Economics and Business Research of Hawassa University. The journal contains scholarly peer-reviewed works on finance, business, economics, and development-related issues, policies, theories, and problems relevant to the continent of Africa with a particular focus on Ethiopia and sub-Saharan Africa.

The journal offers a platform for the dissemination of research-based knowledge for researchers, academicians, professionals, and graduate students to impart and share knowledge in the form of high-quality research papers, case studies, and book reviews. Thus, we consider potential publications from the following disciplines: Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance,
Hotel and Tourism, Marketing management, Logistics and supply chain management, and Human resource management as well as blended approaches for the development or synthesis of knowledge. The current issue covers research findings in different aspects of economics, business, management, etc.
