  • Update on the journal quality and contents

    As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and presentation of the journal, the following updates have been introduced starting from Volume 5, Issue 1:

    • Revision of journal policies and author guidelines.
    • Implementation of cross-referencing protocols to improve article accessibility and citation integrity.
    • Standardization of fonts and typefaces across all published content.
    • Integration of ORCID identifiers for authors.
    • Adoption of a calibrated color scheme, with deep green representing the field of Forestry.
    • Publication of each article in multiple formats, including PDF, machine-readable XML, and web-readable HTML.
    • Resolution of minor technical issues identified in previous volumes and issues.

    These improvements are intended to strengthen the journal’s quality, consistency, accessibility, and alignment with international publishing standards.

    Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources/Hawassa University has launched a high-quality open-access, peer-reviewed research journal that is entitled “Journal of Forestry and Natural Resources (JFNR)”.
    Thus, we kindly invite you to submit papers within the following scope of the journal:
    The JFNR publishes scientific articles related to social, economic, policy, and environmental aspects: forestry, agroforestry, wildlife, soil, water and land resources, renewable energy, tourism, urban forestry, and greening, environmental science, GIS, and remote sensing.
