Open Access, Licensing, and Author Fee

Open Access, Licensing, and Author Fee Policy

1. Open Access Statement

ETHIOINQUIRY is a fully open-access journal. All published articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication, without embargo, for reading, downloading, and redistribution. Open access to scholarly research produced in Ethiopia and the broader African context is a core value of this journal, reflecting the principle that publicly funded research should be accessible to all.

2. Licensing

All articles published in ETHIOINQUIRY are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Under this license, readers are free to share and adapt published material for any purpose, including commercial use, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors, a link to the license is provided, and any changes made are indicated. Authors retain copyright in their work.

3. Article Processing Charges (APCs)

ETHIOINQUIRY currently does not charge authors or their institutions any article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, or page charges. If this policy changes in the future, the new fee schedule will be prominently published on the journal website no less than six months before taking effect and will not apply retrospectively to manuscripts already under review.
